Today while using one of the exercise bikes in the CRC I noticed that the ticker on the bottom of the screen says, "Do or do not, there is no try." Even the gym equipment here quotes Star Wars. Only at Tech.

I received a message on Facebook today. It was from my Freshman class group telling me how to make friends...complete with an example conversation. Only at Tech.

I was kinda sad that I got a 40/60 on one of the recent tests. However, when I received the test back, the professor marked good job on it. The average was that low. Only at Tech.

Yesterday two girls on my hall were studying together for Physics. Neither one of them is taking Physics this semester, or next semster either. Only at Tech.

"I don't like Red Bull." "What, you don't like the taste?" "Well that, plus the fact that it gives you wings." "Huh?" "I mean that sounds good and all... but they never said anything about lift and thrust. What good are vestigial wings? We already have an appendix." Only at Tech

I recently got a 5 (the highest score) on my AP Calculus BC exam which is supposed to cover college Calculus I and II. It is still highly recommended that I start in Calc I. Only at Tech.

For one homework, the professor commented he really liked one of the artifacts I had created. The following day he pulled up the artifact in lecture and asked me to explain how I'd created it and then praised it in front of the whole class. I still didn't get an A for the homework. Only at Tech

I used physics to win the jackpot on a ticket machine at "Malibu Grand Prix". I calculated the angular velocity of a spinning rack with holes, the time it took for a ball to fall an estimated height, and pressed the button so that the ball landed in the Jackpot slot. Got it on the first try. :) O@T

In my frustration, I wrote a Facebook status with a hypothetical code that returns 'failsCS'. Within seconds, two CS majors and one CM major began arguing about how they would improve my code, and whose improved code would run fastest. It got heated. Only at Tech.

Some friends of mine lost a volleyball game the other day. Their response? Write a simulation to see the optimum distribution of players and find out where they went wrong when playing. For fun? Make this simulation multithreaded and run it on a personal server. Only at Tech.
