I got one of my books for my hp special topics class today. It was used, and there was a sticker from the book store that read "PhD level math (Princeton/Texas) (CalTech/MIT)". I'm going to be a sophomore when I take this class. Only at Tech...

Today my physics professor tried to explain to us why we cant integrate for every problem. This was his explanation: "Calculus is sunshine and ponies. This is not calculus; this is physics. Physics is not sunshine and ponies....we kill ponies. Its what we do." Only at Tech.

At my summer job I learned that the woman who runs the copy machine used to teach math at a university level in Asia but doesn't speak english so she doesn't teach anymore, my first thought was that not speaking english hadn't stopped any of the Asian professors at Tech from teaching. Only at Tech

Classes have been over for weeks now, but I refuse to throw away anything until my diploma physically arrives. My mother made fun of me and asked if I was going to keep the stuff through grad school. Fearing Tech wouldn't actually let me out, I looked at her stone-cold with no reply. Only at Tech

First day of Prof Guy (Sergeant) York's math class in 1966, he tells us we are required to bring string and a pocket knife to class - the string to draw circles and ellipses; the knife so when he gave a test and we sat there dumbfounded and clueless, we could whittle instead. Only at Tech.

My dad called me today. He told me that his GT parent's calendar instructed him to remind me to sleep. Only at Tech.

This is the first summer since high school that I haven't taken classes. My internship doesn't start for another 3 weeks. I literally have no idea what to do with so much free time... The only thing I can think of is that I should start studying for my fall classes now. Only at Tech.

I'm a part-time student, and ever since the semester ended I found that I've been working 10 and 12 hour days. It just doesn't seem like I'm doing enough! Only at Tech.

I can do calculus in several dimensions, but I struggle with basic arithmetic. Only at Tech.

My Fluids professor couldn't understand why we all failed his test. He said his PhD students had no problems with it. Only at Tech.
