I just mathematically calculated the number of girls on campus with whom I could have a relationship. It came out to 1.575. Only at Tech.
And what exactly is this magical formula?
probably something similar to this:

Mmmm, based off that, but couldn't be the same. :P
Thanks to Tech Goggles and Above Average IQ of everyone, I'd say our numbers are larger.
You do realize that this is essentially the Drake equation for women?
The numbers aren't larger if you want someone more than 1 std dev above average intelligence for Tech instead of using a global average intelligence, but I don't think guys here are that picky.
Pretty much only 1.575 guys I could get in a relationship with on campus...
I'd say it's about .75 for me. I only use ints, though. =/
And you should probably round to the nearest integer, as quantities of girls are typically discrete.
Well, most of it was estimation, but I assumed the following:
30% of Tech's undergraduate population is female.
Of those, 50% are reasonably attractive.
Of those, 25% don't currently have boyfriends
Of those, only about 50% are interested in a committed relationship
And of those, only about 10% will be romantically compatible with me
I'm going to assume I'm acquainted with about 850 students on campus, which is about 7% of the student body.
Since there are about 12,000 undergraduates at Tech: 0.3 * 0.5 * 0.25 * 0.5 * 0.1 * 0.07 * 12000 = 1.575 girls I know at Tech who I could possibly date. QED =D
But yeah, since girls are discrete, and I like being optimistic, I'll round to 2... Lol.
A4515656, your mom is discrete. jk
using your formula, I'm at 2.0625 girls. did I just beat the ratio?
